Thank you Aquareef

I can’t say enough good things about Aquareef, but I will try to keep it short. I had been keeping fresh water fish tanks over a number of years and became curious about the saltwater end of the hobby. I went down to the local fish store and I saw the salt water fish tank set up, I was inspired by the bright and beautiful fish; however the tank design was not much to look at, it was plain and boring. Later I came to realize it was due to the lack of knowledge of the store owner. I went home and searched for information on the internet, and I was amazed by all the fish and inverts that were available, I went back to the local fish store and brought a bag of salt and a hydrometer, and I went home with an earful of bad advice, things did not go well. I owned a glass box of green water filled with brown and red slime. Frustrated, I was ready to give up on saltwater, until I was introduced to Ken and Linny of Aquareef. Linny invited me to see their saltwater tank set up. I was amazed by the bright and beautiful selection of fish, and their tank design of coral, rock and invertebrates was stunning. I had so many questions. Later we sat down in their fish room where Ken and Linny patiently explained the fundamentals of keeping a healthy saltwater tank. They explained filtration, lighting, water chemistry, and the cohabitation of certain species, what fish and corals can be kept together and which ones should not. With all this new found information and the guidance of my new friends I had the confidence to pursue saltwater fish keeping. I brought all my questions and concerns to Ken and Linny and with their encouragement and support I was able to maintain a healthy and clean saltwater fish tank. That was two and a half years ago and I now own a saltwater fish tank to be proud. In closing, I would like to thank Ken and Linny of Aquareef for there ongoing support, kindness and expertise.

"I first became aware of Aquareef when I was over at a friend's house and saw her beautiful saltwater fish tank. I asked who looked after her tank and where she got her fish. Lori told me about Ken and Linny of Aquareef and gave me their phone number. I phoned them and expressed my interest in getting a saltwater tank. We set up a time for Ken and Linny to come over to my home. we spent about two hours deciding firstly where to put a tank and secondly what kind of tank would work in my home. We decided on my office as I work out of my house. Ken built a beautiful 92 gallon corner fish tank. Ken and Linny set up the tank, provided all the coral and wonderful fish. They come every two weeks and maintain the tank. I get all of my fish, corals, food, etc from Aquareef. The quality of their fish and coral is bar none. "I first met Ken and Linny of Aquareef Aquarium Design apporximately 4 years ago. They were my saving grace. I had a 179 gallon saltwater tank that was designed, built and was being maintained by someone else. I was having nothing but problems with it, everything from the tank leaking to equipment malfunctions to poor water quality which essentially led to many fish dying. The person that I had maintaining it at the time would not guarantee any of the equipment unless it was still under the manufacture's warrantee or any of the fish, as well as I had to pay for any new fish or equipment up front before this person even purchased it.

I had considered giving up on the tank but then at my daughters local orthodontist's office, where I had always admired their saltwater tank, I asked for the name of the person maintaining it which led me to Ken and Linny. After a brief telephone conversation with Ken I could tell immediately that his knowledge of saltwater aquariums was exceptional. Within a couple of days he came to my home to check out my tank set up. He corrected a few things immediately, mainly my very poor water quality and shortly there after he changed some of the necessary equipment in order to maintain a healthy tank. Since then my tank has blossomed into a thing of beauty. I have had no problems with it since Ken and Linny have taken over the maintenance with the exception of the very seldom odd new thing dying to which he has always replaced at no cost to me with something the same or even more beautiful. They come to my home every two weeks to do a maintenance to which I look forward to their cheery visits. I have given them a key to my home and trust them 100%. They always clean up any mess and leave the tank looking spectacular. Their prices are reasonable, the quality of the fish and live coral is outstanding and their knowledge of aquariums and high standard of work ethics are exceptional. Without them I would not be enjoying the beauty of my tank.
