Hard Corals
At Aquareef, we stock and supply a wide variety of the most commonly found Small Polyp Stony Corals (SPS) and Large Polyp Stony Corals (LPS).Scleratinians belongs to the class of hermatypic reef building stony corals. These brilliant colorful corals are considered one of the most sought after corals by the advanced reef aquarist, requiring pristine low nutrient high flow water quality conditions to thrive. In this family, there is a variety of LPS and SPS corals available.
To ensure a healthy and long-term addition to your reef aquarium, we quarantine and acclimate all our corals in ideal conditions before sale. This means specimens are adapted to optimal reef lighting, water flow, water quality and maintenance similar to your own aquarium environment.
Furthermore, we will only sell corals that have demonstrated a positive, long-term survival record in our accumulated years of experience. Coral that is extremely hard to care for is not sold by Aquareef.
Our hard corals come from reputable suppliers in the South Pacific and Southern Asia. Occasionally we acquire farmed livestock and, at times, we can offer cuttings from established specimens that have grown too large for a particular installation.
